Who we are

The Story Behind La Piazza

It all started with a dough. Over time, a kitchen grew up around it, then a team, then a way of understanding hospitality that is entirely our own. Today, La Piazza brings together Italian technique, quality ingredients, craftsmanship, and the character of a restaurant that has become part of Andorra la Vella.

A championship beginning

Pep Curiel and the dough that started it all

Behind every La Piazza pizza is the signature of Pep Curiel, master pizzaiolo and the first non-Italian to ever win a pizza championship in Italy. His method is the foundation of everything we do: a natural 72-hour fermentation that gives every dough a light, airy texture that's easy to digest.

The ingredients he chose are the very ones we still use today — the same recipe, cared for daily by our kitchen team.

The team

People who live for flour

Our team brings together people who live for flour — the craft of bread and dough — alongside organic farming partners and native Andorran producers. Every name has a story, and that story reaches your table every single day.

We believe in honest ingredients, a warm welcome, and doing things the right way, even when it takes longer.

From flour to oil

80% from Italy. The rest, from the Pyrenees

We work with 100% Italian mozzarella, Bologna mortadella, spicy spianata and other products brought directly from Italy. We round out the recipe with the best of what's local: 100% organic flour from the Pyrenees, carefully selected olive oil, local farming, and native Andorran produce.

Nectum is the perfect example: our own reduction, made here by hand from green fir cones, featured in many of our salads and pizzas — so that every bite carries a little of Italy and a little of the Pyrenees.

Wine & cocktails

A glass worthy of the plate

We offer an international wine list at competitive prices, with labels from Italy, Spain, France, Argentina and beyond, chosen to pair just as well with a pizza as with a steak. To close the meal on a stronger note, we also offer a selection of Italian grappas. And if you'd rather start — or end — the evening with a cocktail, our bar has its own proposal for you.

For special events, we partner with Bomar and Radix 2.0, adding their expertise to make them even more memorable.
